HOW TO SELL FARM LAND IN SASKATCHEWAN
1. Value Your Land
Your Realtor will determine the market value of your land, and help you set a realistic listing price (typically within 5%-10% of expected selling price).
2. Marketing Plan
Create a marketing plan with your Realtor, such as where and how your farm will be marketed.
4. Show property
List the land using the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). This ensures your farm gets maximum exposure, as all MLS agents may then bring buyers to the property.
Keep the land and buildings in good condition for showings. Tidy yards and buildings, and well kept fields/crops are great advertisements.
Review all offers on your land with your Realtor. Ask questions and be sure you understand the details.
6. Manage Offers
Accept, reject or counter each offer. Let your Realtor take on the stress, negotiation, and paperwork to sell your land.
